Lying here with baby on me fast asleep when he starts whimpering. Look at his face and his cheek has these weird lines on it with what can only be explained as goosebumps too.

Then they go away as soon as they come. He is half awake and smiling in his sleep. What is this?! I'm worried a little.

Looks like an imprint of your clothing or a blanket?

No because he hasn't been lying on that side.

My LO does the half asleep/smiling/whimpering when he has a little trapped wind. As for he skin, it does look like he's been lying on something but if you're sure it's not that then just keep an eye on it. Babies skin is sensitive and developing all of the time, it will probably disappear as soon as it appeared!

Yeah it does look like he has been lying on it but it comes on and then goes away back to his normal smooth cheek.

Hey did you ever find out what this was? This exact thing has been happening to my son who is two months old and I haven't found anything on this and I am a little worried. My doctor has never seen it.

When I’m cold I sometimes get what my family call ‘pocky’ cheeks, just like goosebumps, never met anyone else who does it but I’m sure they are out there.

My baby is almost 1 month and she has the same symptoms. Is there anything you did cause also my doctor didn't heard about it. Is it still happening to your babies?

This has been happening about twice a month since my baby was two months old and is now almost 6 months. Has anyone figure it out? My doctor has never heard of it either.

So, I don’t know if I’m writing in the right place but i’ve discovered that something to do with his ears when he’s cold. When I’m wiping him down after he eats the cloth is a little cold and if I rub his ears with it it happens so maybe it is some form of goosebumps.
