This is scary!!! My partner and I only noticed now...i feel terrible
Gripe water says use a 5ml spoon so I've been using the 5ml syringe as it's easier to give to our son but look at this!!

If u put the 5ml from syringe to a 5ml spoon its very different!!! There is still 2.5ml left in the syringe that means we have given too much!!
And yup it's a 5ml spoon...

That's odd. I gave it as a syringe for months and my son is fine.

Have you checked using a different measuring device to see which is right?

I had to collect a prescription for my youngest a few weeks ago and the pharmacist apologised for the spoon being wet - he was checking them all as he'd been told that quite a few measuring spoons haven't been made correctly or something.

If you've given 5ml from the syringe then I wouldn't worry. The measurements on the syringe aren't wrong. The spoon looks tiny though.

If you are reading this and are looking for an oral syringe to replace a medicine spoon or a calpol syringe then I recommend https://oralsyringes.uk
