Hi! I joined up quite a while ago and have been lurking casually ever since.
Has anyone else has their post torn to pieces over there? I tried to give what I thought was helpful advice on a relationships thread and all but chased away with pitchforks.
It's left me with a sick feeling in my stomach and I guess I'm just looking for some kindred spirits.

It's been really gross over there lately. I followed some other women to the femvox forums so I've got somewhere to go now. All good x
WOW, only just realised just how toxic Mumsnet is! Ridiculous...You ask for advice and you get morons.
Was so spun out by this - then it finally dawned on me to read the name of the site you wrote again. Wondered how you were getting away with slating the platform you are commenting on! Had never heard of Mumsnet until reading your post.
Have to say though it’s reassuring to know someone else is genuinely upset about unkindness online as I’m not always thick skinned even when it’s not aimed at me.

I have heard Mumsnet can be quite poisonous at times, One called Gransnet even more so

I don't think you're being unreasonable. People ask for advice and others' opinions
Then, when they hear something they actually don't agree with themselves, like someone else's opinion, or because it's not worded as gently as a feather or how they themselves would speak, they feel victimized and say "that's not helping!" Well you asked for others' opinions. You are asking strangers on the internet, if you want people to tell you what they know you want or demand to hear, and nothing more, go ask your fake friends or family. Stop being so soft and open your mind. I get it. It's really annoying how entitled people are in communication. They wouldn't talk to you like that in person though haha I know that.
Yes, I had to delete my account because it was getting nasty on there and I never posted, only commented sometimes and i got rude replies. Not to mention seeing other people post and then they also got abuse on there! You're not the only one.
