Since I started breastfeeding my little one loves to to bite down on my nipple and stretch it out further than I thought possible, then let go. Sometimes he pinches and pulls on my other nipple while feeding, but I'm told that's fairly normal to stimulate milk.

If that wasn't enough my boobs are covered in scratches and marks where he grips onto them and digs his nails in. It was a bit of a shock at first, but it's so cute I can't bring myself to tell him off.

Anyone else's baby do this?

Hi Laura

How young is your LO?

Sometimes LOs may bite down when feeding but this doesn't always happen. You may find When Baby Bites • KellyMom.com helpful in looking into reasons why your LO is doing this and ways to support him stopping.

I hope others will come and share their experiences to offer further reassurance and advice

Best wishes

Hi,

I had this experience with all 3 of mine. I'm sure one of mine used to do a 360 with my nipple in his mouth lol.

I'm not sure how old your baby is but if in doubt you could contact your health visitor or the breastfeeding network for any questions or support :●)

Hi, omg so you've had your fair share then! In all honesty it doesn't actually hurt me, but it's good to know it's fairly normal behavour if you've experienced this too. My LO gets away with murder though haha!
