An awkward situation I'm not sure how to handle. My 13yo son is distant with me now because over the last month there have been four or five occasions where when i was talking to him, he got an erection. Usually he was in his pyjamas or swim shorts so it was obvious what happened. Is that normal for that to happen while talking to his mum?

Ive tried to talk to him but now he just gets emabrassed and tries to avoid me any time he can. He wont talk to me, how to approach this?

Mine do the same and talk about awkward. They are apparently aware of their gifts and like to show them off. Just ignore them is what I do.

Mum of 3 boys here! I don't think there is much control over timings at that age! Nothing weird.. Just natural and nothing to do with you.. Try to ignore

Just don't bring it up that can happen whenever they are young and can't control it he isn't attracted to you he probs get excited and happy and it happens. Just ignore when that happens and treat him like your son distract what happens do something else no need to mention it really

Something as silly as a gentle breeze can set off erections at that age. Just reasure him that its normal and hopefully the awkwardness will just go away by itself

OMG. My son is 13 also. They say the Mom is the 1st love. I wouldn't concern yourself. But I would tell him to save his erection for his future girlfriend. They can't control it. And it's something new. I'm sure it will pass. Aron.
