10 celebs who've had IVF

In vitro fertilisation (IVF) has helped many people who are struggling to conceive have beautiful little bubbas. From Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, to Harry and Izzy Judd, these celebs have opened up about their IVF journeys.

Chrissy and John used IVF to have their first baby, Luna, in April 2016.

Chrissy opened up on talk show FABLife, revealing the couple wanted to have kids 'five, six years earlier' before having Luna, adding her fertility journey had been a 'process'.

The pair also used the method to have their second child, Miles, in 2018.

Former McFly band member Harry and his wife Izzy used IVF to have their daughter Lola, in January 2016.

Violinist Izzy opened up about her miscarriages in her book Dare To Dream. 'You say the letters IVF and it's very anxiety provoking and a scary prospect,' she said.

They welcomed their second child Kit in August 2017, who was conceived naturally.

In her chart-topping book Becoming, former First Lady Michelle wrote about conceiving both her daughters through IVF.

She said that when she was around 34 years old, she began thinking more about her biological clock, which made her decide to look into in vitro fertilisation.

Malia was born in 1998 and Sasha was born in 2001.

Courteney conceived her daughter Coco through IVF when she was 39, in June 2004.

'In vitro is a wonderful thing that people can do in this day and age, and I’m lucky enough to be able to afford it,' she said in an interview .

Celine and her late husband René Angélil welcomed all three of their children through IVF.

René-Charles Angelil was born in January 2001. Twins Nelson and Eddy were born in October 2010.

The superstar revealed to the Daily Mail that she'd tried IVF six times 'one after the other' in order to become pregnant, at 42 years old.

The Countryfile presenter went through five rounds of IVF before welcoming twins Xanthe and Zena in 2016.

Julia and Gerard had their first son, Zephyr, before getting married in 2011.

Actress Emma and her husband Greg used IVF to have their daughter Gaia, back in December 1999.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Greg said: 'IVF is very upsetting. It's a brutal process and it's very emotional. It's really hard. But then you pick yourself up, look around and see this unbelievably beautiful little baby you’ve got anyway.'

The pair then went on to adopt Tindy Agaba from Rwanda, in 2003.

Penny and Rod used the treatment to conceive their second son Aiden, in February 2011.

Penny revealed to HELLO! Magazine that she'd cut fish out of her diet after doctors discovered high levels of mercury in her body. She then became pregnant on her third round of IVF.

The pair also have another son together, Alastair, born in November 2005. Rod has eight children in total.

Former model and actress Brooke and husband Chris became parents for the first time through IVF, after seven rounds of treatment.

Brooke became pregnant with daughter Rowan, in May 2003.

They conceived naturally the second time around with their younger daughter Grier, in April 2006.

Model Tyra spoke about her attempts to get pregnant in her memoir, Perfect is Boring.

She had tried 'for a while' to get pregnant with her then-boyfriend, photographer Erik Asla, and added, 'I was just constantly living on edge until I held him [her son] for the first time.'

Her son, York, was born in 2016.
