For an Easter card with a difference, try making these egg-shaped envelopes to keep your messages inside.

Cut out 2 egg shapes from different coloured pieces of paper, and cut the top off one of the shapes. (We like to use pinking shears – those sewing scissors that cut a sawtooth edge.) Glue (or staple) both shapes together at the edges, being careful to leave the top open.

Next, cut out a rabbit or chick shape small enough to fit inside your pouch. Decorate according to your liking, write a message on the back and slip it inside.

Here's another fun card shape for you to try.

Make an egg shape with 2 pieces of sturdy card or cardboard. Along the top of one of them cut a jagged edge. This will be your cracked egg.

Glue your 2 egg shapes together at the edges, leaving a gap at the bottom large enough to slip a lollipop stick through (don't glue the top edge!).

Draw a chick's face onto a white piece of paper and glue it, along with your small egg shard, onto the top of your lollipop stick.
