Easy chicken curry for kids

1 onion, diced

3 cloves of garlic, crushed

1 tbsp curry paste (tikka masala paste works well)

1 apple (peeled), diced

1 tbsp mango chutney

400g chopped tomatoes (one tin)

3 chicken breasts, cubed

1 tbsp vegetable oil
-
1 Knorr Zero Salt chicken stock cube
To serve

Chop the garlic and onions and fry gently in a large pan until soft

Turn up the heat - add the chicken and cook for another couple of minutes, until the meat is sealed

Add the tinned tomatoes

Half fill the empty tomato tin with water and crumble in your Knorr Zero Salt chicken stock cube. Add to the pan

Finally add the diced and peeled apple and mango chutney

Simmer for about 35 minutes

Serve with rice
Tips
Put everything in the slow cooker and cook for 6-8 hours on medium/low
Kids can help you weigh and prepare the ingredients; older kids can even help with chopping.
Variations
Using other chopped vegetables such as green pepper, sweet potato or carrots instead of (or as well as) the mushrooms
Add a tin of chickpeas to make the meal go further
