  • 4 Quorn sausages

  • 320g ready-to-roll puff pastry

To serve

  • Guacamole

  • Pumpkin puree

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan/Gas Mark 6. Line a baking tray with baking paper.

  2. Cut each Quorn sausage into four slices lengthways.

  3. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into wide strips.

  4. Place four sausage slices at the centre of each pastry strip and wrap the ends of the strips around the sausages (the dough should wrap the sausages all the way round, but with the ends of the sausages sticking out to resemble spiders' legs).

  5. Bake for 10 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and the sausage strips are cooked through and piping hot.

  6. Leave to cool slightly, then use the edge of a teaspoon to dab two small blobs of guacamole onto each spider for the eyes. Add a tiny dot of pumpkin puree to each to make the pupils.
